(2) Lead smelting

The reduction effect of PbO2 has an important influence on the whole recovery technology. The reduction process includes pyro-smelting and hydro-smelting: pyro-smelting is to reduce and smelt PbO2 together with other components in sludge such as PbSO4 and PbO in a metallurgical furnace. Pb. Cupola equipment is often used in the smelting process, and a certain amount of foundry coke is first put into the furnace as bottom coke. After ignition, add the bottom coke to the specified height, from the tuyere to the top surface of the bottom coke is the height of the bottom coke, and then add the prepared limestone, metal charge and layer coke in batches from the feeding port according to the melting rate of the furnace.

At this time, the air in the blast furnace reacts with the bottom coke, and the generated high-temperature furnace gas flows upwards, heating the charge, and melting the first batch of metal charge on the top surface of the bottom coke, and the molten iron drops fall to the furnace hearth During the process, it is further heated by high-temperature furnace gas and hot coke. This process is called superheating. The lead smelting furnace carries out three important processes of bottom coke combustion, heat transfer and metallurgical reaction at the same time.

Through the above two steps, scrapped lead-acid batteries can be scientifically and effectively recycled and reused. The shell plastic can be crushed, melted and granulated, and the lead can be smelted to form lead ingots, which are also very good reusable resources.
